Again I trouble you with questions about this particular watch. This time, I need your expertise to give me a verdict whether the watch is genuine.

Also what puzzles me is the glass, by the weight it resembles more plastic than glass (it could also be very thin and light glass for all I know).

Does anyone know what material JLC used with watches from this era? It could also be a replacement part.

Yes it is genuine, the so called "Luftwaffe" JLC, were we suspect it may have been used by the Luftwaffe service personel. Dates to WW2.

Don't worry about the glass, it's like worrying about the tires of a 70 year old car.
