I recently was given a watch of my aunt. Both she and her husband are gone, so I have limited info. I saw a similar one in the oval blue case on this site. I would like to know how old it is, value, should I have it insured and where to take it to be cleaned. Its a wind up and it works. The number on the back is 945420 with an A under it. I have not open the back. My mother said the only person who opens up a watch is a fool or a jeweler. Any info would be most appreciated. Ladies LeCroultre in blue box

Looke like an 18k watch, from the late 1950s or early 1960s. I would not be able to date it precisely without the movement serial number.
Value will be highly dependent on the value of the gold + stones + a base amount for Jaeger-LeCoultre of say $200-400.
