I inherited a Jlc watch, from my grandfather, and he inherited this watch from his uncle :-) I would like to know, the year of production, value, and any additional info about this watch, like can i sell it,and witch price should i ask for it?

p 478 / c
serial inside a watch is 625951,
on the back of the watch is a number 488830
its 18 k yellow gold.

just to add , i`m not 100% sure is it p 478/c or it is 476/c, i cannot see it clear :-( but its more likely to be 478 because 476 should be automatic? And there are some writings like p = 10 - 88 carved from inside.

It would be a 478 and as you pointed out a 476 is automatic. Movement dates to approx 1949-1950.

And strange thing is that there are no Jlc markings between dials, and it doesn`t seem like they where ever there in the first place

I think as it is, it is worth around $500-600. 200 Euro is too low and may even be less than the gold.

Aha, thanks for the answer Zaf! I will then repair glass, polish it, and keep it for myself. The longer i have it, the more i like it!
