Hello,
I am a first time user of the forum.Recently I have seen a nice watch, aparently 1950's vintage, which has LeCoultre name only on the face and not Jaeger LeCoultre. Jaeger and LeCoultre companies joined together in the 1920's so can someone enlighten me why this watch only has LeCoultre logo. Movement is apparently Calibre 48/CW 17 jewels & whilst marked LeCoultre I am told it is actually a Vacheron & Constantin movement. An explanation would be much appreciated.
Regards, Trevor

Hi, please see this old thread:
http://www.classicwatch.com/discus/messages/622/41.html?983350497

There is NO SUCH THING as a Vacheron Constantin movement used in a JLC or LeCoultre watch. People keep on repeating over and over the same thing. It'as simply isn't true.

Best,
Zaf
