It dates to the late 1960s/circa 1970. One of the LeCoultre dress watches, I do not know the model name w/o getting into old catalog research.

Thanks Zaf.

I am not experienced enough to take the back off and look for serial numbers but I do know that it has a symbol and 14K on the top of the back near where the strap meets the watch.

What does that mean?

It means the case is made of 14k solid gold.

This line of ultraflat watches was named the "Regal" series in some of the late 1960s catalogs. It was offered in 14K white or yellow gold, later in 18K gold. I believe it was powered by the caliber 818 movement.

Thanks Greg and Zaf.

Does that mean that the case is solid 14K Gold or Gold Plated? I can't get over how accurate the time is when I wind the watch.

It is truly amazing engineering for the late 1960 and 1970's. I have become a Jaeger LeCoultre fan.

Solid gold, as Zaf stated in his earlier post above.

Adurante --- I was wondering if you have been able to acquire further information regarding this particular watch. I too have this model (in 14k white gold, which I believe was discontinued). I obtained the watch in 1964 and it has been running beautifully ever since. Any idea how many were made, or details regarding its mechanical design? I have not had much success with online research.
