I have a blue dialed memovox speedbeat cal 916 model 875. The surface of the dial has discoloration due to a chip in the crystal that let in condensation. I am thinking about having the inner and outer dial refinished. I live in Europe. How does one find a good dial refinisher? And what is this likely to cost? |

The German rediallers are the best. Can someone from Germany chime in with the details? |

Zaf thanks for the information. I also discover jlc have a NOS dial for this watch. I may go that route as I can then be sure the watch will look totally right. But I would still value some indication of the cost to refinish if there is anyone out there. I also hear there was an italian firm that does really good refinishing but have no idea where they are. |

JLC will charge you 1500 Euros or more for your job dial + movement overhaul. I doubt it makes financial sense. |

Hi Zaf, I have found that JLC factory service is considerably less than the figure you have quoted. |

What is it? Last time I sent them a watch, they wanted 2000 Euros for a dial + movement overhaul. The last manual wind watch a customer sent in was 1200 Euros. Have they come to their senses? |
