Help!! I am not very computer literate and needed help getting to this point. I need parts for my futurematic. No watchmaker in my town can find them anywhere for a reasonable price. For movement #497 I need a 4th wheel with 6 bit. Two people said they would fix it but the parts would cost $300 to $400. Am I naive or is this my new reality? That's about half the value of the watch! This was my father's one and only watch and it has been mine for 15 years since his death. I have had nothing but trouble getting this watch serviced. Can anyone out there give me some good advice? Thank you. |

Another source would be Craig Bergsma at Chronodeco. He is an active buyer of Futurematic parts and specializes in their repair. See his web site at: http://www.chronodeco.com Good luck, gatorcpa |

Michael - Jules Borel has one in stock. It's $27. I wouldn't think a Watch Maker would charge more than $125 for a cleaning, including this part replacement. If you have trouble finding one let me know. Lloyd |

I pretty much have all the parts for this watch as well, if you do not find it from Borel. Zaf |

I just checked and I do have the part. Contact me in case Borel does not have it. They frequently do not have what they list. $125 for a Futuremtauc overhaul with a part involved would be a pretty darn good deal. |
