Hello

Can anyone help me identify/value this watch please? It was bought for my father during a family holiday in Switzerland (I'm guessing just before or after WW2). It has a number on the back "10031" and works fine.

Any help much appreciated ...

Thanks,

-Alex.

It will not necessarily have a model name, but just a case reference #. Date is as you said, 1945-1948. Movement is one of the JLC 12 1/2 ligne calibers, like the 450 or 478. I think you're missing the sweep second.

Zaf hi

Thanks very much for that info. So, it had a second-hand ... I never knew that. I'm guessing it's had some rough treatment as it's missing a couple of those bits of metal (not the technical term I know) at 4 and 10 o'clock.

Here is a picture of the mechanism if it helps shed any more light:

The movement dates to Approx 1943.
