My grandfather is looking to sell his father's Le Coultre wrist alarm 10k gold filled apex with original mint condition box. The watch appears to have never been worn. I'm trying to help him get the best price and was wondering where I need to go to get a proper appraisal/sale for this particular watch. Thanks dor any help.

If you post a photo, I'd be happy to give you an opinion.

Thanks for the photo, seems to be an early "wrist Alarm", dates to between 1950 and 1955 or so. Looks like an original dial, a dealer would typically sell something like this anywhere between $500 and $750.

Wow! The strap and buckle also look original to me. That would suggest to me that the dial is indeed original and the case probably has minimal (if any) wear. I don't think I've ever seen this particular early Wrist Alarm model in such pristine shape. I'd definitely be willing to give you Zaf's high end of the estimate for your watch if you were selling. Nice watch!
