AT LAST I've found a site where MAYBE I can find out something about a tmepiece I found on the street when I was about 9 or 10 years old. I've kept it all these years. My Grandmother gave me an old pin to put it on and I had some gold dangles added. Actually, it's a lady's lapel watch I believe.
It's stamped Fahy's on the inside. Bristol. Guaranteed 25 years. 106 long series of number (see photo) Swiss; 15 jewels. And a few other things I'm not remembering off hand.
I'm just interested in history of the company, what kind of watches they made and when. If anyone knows a value, that would be nice. Anything at all.
Sorry about the size of the picture. LOL! But you gotta admit you can see the details. Just don't forget to move your screen to see the workings of the watch to the right of the back cover. I know: I'll cut them down next time.

Fahey's s actually the case maker. The movement is from "Montauk Watch Co.". I'm not sure who that is. It maybe a U.S.Jeweler's name, it could be a defauct Swiss company hard to tell. There were literally thousands of these "generic" names on watches, that no longer exist.

Aw, shucks, it's not exactly going to set me up comfortably in a penthouse apartment, then, hey?
Dern. LOL! And I thought I had a gold mine!

Nope. Sorry. The case isn't even gold
but gold plated...
