Hi All,Newb to the board.I have just bought the watch in the pictures and I would like to get a JLC S/S buckle for the strap.16mm inside diameter.If anyone has one they would consider parting with I would be interested. Thanks,Brian.JLC 1

Brian,

The correct vintage buckle for your watch is not a JLC buckle, but a "LeCoultre" buckle, as shown below:


Unfortunately, in the 1960s, when your watch was made, the original straps had a great deal more taper to them and an 18mm strap would typically use a 13mm buckle (5mm of taper). Since the modern replacement 18mm strap that you have installed uses a 16mm buckle (2mm of taper), the original buckles would not fit this strap.

There do exist 15mm (not 16mm) LeCoultre stainless and white gold-filled buckles, but they are VERY hard to find (as are the smaller 13mm buckles). I can probably tell you where you can find some LeCoultre buckles, but let me check with Zaf first to see if he has any to offer.

Hi, I don't sell buckles, boxes or straps...just the watches and their servicing.
