I recently bought a 56 recase jlc. Now I know that Zaf has said that there were approx 4000 jlc 6b/159 made, does anyone have an idea how many were recased by the MOD in 1956?.Trawling forums and the web has yielded nothing to me,and it seems that any threads on this watch fizzled out a couple of years ago.Any info would be helpful.Bob.

I don't know. It's a poor re-case from a quality prespective as the movement is smaller in diameter than the Omega & Longines, forcing it to have an huge movement retainer ring and a crystal tension ring. As such, it looks a little weird in the case. If I were to guess, perhaps 500. It is such a poor fit, for a while, I didn't even think these were real!
