Assistance is greatly appreciated I have inherited a watch from my great uncle. He was a doctor in NYC , came from Cuba, and its estimated he bought the watch in the late 1940's maybe early 50's. Says "Jaeger Lecoultre" on it, still works, has even a little alarm on it, that makes a noise. The band itself is a thick, heavy, 18K gold and so is the casing around the watch's face. What information can you give me on this watch? I do want to sell it, but with knowledge and information first. thanks

Very nice! It's a circa 1950 JLC Wrist Alarm reference 3151. You'll also hear this model called a "Memovox" but technically, these early models hadn't been given that name by the factory yet when your watch was made. Powered by a caliber 489 alarm movement. |
