Hello -
Can you help me to identify the following watch? It belonged to my uncle. He told me that the inner alarm was used for parking meters, hence the P in the square and the 30 minute increments. I am guessing mid 50's, early 60's.

Any value on such a watch? It winds and operates well. The timer 'vibrates' when activated and kids love to see it work. I don't think it has been serviced in many years, at least 15. It has not ben worn in that time either. The glass is mildly scratched. Stainless steel.

It looks like a JLC "Parking" case reference 3161 made about 1960. The dial has been repainted which is unfortunate, but I think that's the watch model what you have regardless.

Wow - thanks, that was fast.

Can you place a value on it? Should I have it serviced first?

I think the dial refinish really hurts the value of the watch because the Parking dial is what distingishes it from a normal Alarm. Maybe as it is, it is worth around $600.
