I am a newb who knows v little about vintage watches and nothing about Jaeger LeCoultre but I think I've just fallen in love...I don't like the blue dial (should be cream?)and I question the hands (should be daggers?) but there's something about the simple lines of the case shape. The back of the case is marked .375 (9ct/kt?)and 33379. Can anyone please tell me more? |

Hello, 9 Kt = 9 Karat gold. It is 375 parts of 1000 gold. .375 means this. And 9 Kt equivalent to .375 :-) You have a very nice wirstwatch! I like it. :-) If you tell the number on the case the experts here can help you more. :-) I am sure. I find some JLC who are nearly the same: geomatic 60ies Caliber 883 Best regards Estepam |

Not Geomatic. The Geo had a special emblem in middle of the caseback and wasn't ever issued in 9K. The 9K case indicates that this was a UK-market model and that the case was probably made by DTE (Dennison). The blue dial doesn't appear to me to be original. Greg |

@estepam, I prefer to answer watch questions in the forum, where answers can be seen and benefit everyone. I volunteer my time here freely because the advice I post for one person often benefits many readers who see it. When I start doing one-on-one consultations, I charge for the service, as all watchmakers do. Like you, I'm also just a guest here, so I try not to make direct contact with posters. This is Zaf's board and I don't want to overstep my welcome by posting my direct contact info to his board visitors. You're free to ask any questions you want in the forum and I (or others) will try to answer. That's the other beauty of posting to the forum: multiple experts (Zaf, Ilja and others) are usually available to answer. Regarding your E262, there's really not much more info available other than what I've already posted and what Zaf has told you. The vintage catalogs just give a 10-word description of these standard models which state its caliber, case ref and case material. Greg |

Excuse me chaps, I'm confused. Are you telling my the blue face is an E262 or a Dennison? |

Your watch is not an E262. That comment was in response to estepam who was asking about their watch in another forum thread. Your 9K case was made for the UK market and will most likely be signed "DTE" on the inside of the back. This is the mark of Dennison, a British contract casemaker that supplied cases for JLC watches in the past. |
