Hi All Again, figured this is the right place to ask as google was fruitless. I have a 1968 Memo E855 with the K825 bumber auto which is running faster than I prefer. I tried placing the dial in different positions (down, up, crown up, down, etc) and have not been able to slow it down. To expect a vintage caliber to run within COSC specs is lunacy, but since this movement is not hackable, I prefer a less hands on approach alternative to resetting the time. Thanks in advance for all the good replies. |

That's not horrible really. If you tried using positions to adjust, your only option is to move the regulator stick. I don't necessarily recommend taking the backs of these watches, especially if they are gold. |

thought of that but don't want to inadvertantly scratch the case back. I agree though, 30 secs is not horrible, but a little annoying. Thanks Zaf ... love this forum! |

If you ever do decide to do it. the stick would move VERY little, like 0.1mm in the direction that lengthens the hairspring. |

If it's a gold case don't do it. It's very easy to damage the case, if it's steel it's easier but there is always the risk of scratches. |

Zaf - its not a gold case. I think I'm going to live with it until I send it in to you for service sometime this year. Thanks. |
