I am wanting to sell my clock it looks as if it's at least 30yrs old I spoke with a clockmaker who said it was worth about $2,000. Short of Ebay who can I try to sell this to? Its in perfect condition.

Very very few LeCOultre mantle clocks are worth $2000 unless it's something highly unusual. Do you have pictures?

I don't have a picture at this time, but It is an LeCoultre Cie 15 Jewel VXM serial number 288821 the Caliber is a 528-8. I'm not sure of the exact age however the first notation of service on it is from December of 1972,it is in Mint condition.

Seems like maybe you are missing a digit on the serial number? Something that low would date to the early 1940s. Anyways w/o photo, this is all very difficult for me.

If the serial numbers are the same as those of the wrist watches, it would be a late 1940s clock.

As a "LeCoultre" and "VXN" piece, it is made for the American market.

If it's really crisp and running, I see these trade around $800.
