It appears to be the mid size version of what is referred to as the "tear drop lug" case, dates to about 1950.

after searching the net for alot more time i still cannot find this watch. my local watch specialist is quoting 500 ($1000) to repair and recondition my watch, this sounds fair to me. unfortunatly it has been misstreated in the past, i want it looking new and working again and enjoy it on my wrist, it would be nice to know more information if anyone has any, thanks guys

I've seen and sold the watch many times, especially in the larger size of 35mm. I think yours is around 30mm, so it's considered a mid-size.

I could do it here cheaper in the USA, but it isn't practical shipping it back & forth and waiting 3-4 months for the dial work.

$1000 is probably what it's worth, so it may not be advantageous for you to spend that.

thanks zaf, although its "expensive" to repair, its such a shame to have it in such a bad condition, its a beautifull watch that i think is worth spending at least $500 on?

Well, $500 is not equal to $1000! I think at $500 you're OK.
