Something like this will not be available as a spare part, you'll pretty much have to find a donor watch. |

Zaf, Thanks for the quick reply. I am a new collector and need some help in identifying a suitable donor watch. How do I size a donor watch to assure a proper fit? Do I need to look for a Jaeger LeCoultre donor watch fitted with this movement? Any idea on the age of this movement? Thanks for your help....Stan |

You actually need to compare reference numbers, steel cases often have a reference number stamped inside the caseback. But of course you have to know which ref. takes what movement. Also the dial diameter and design are an issue, at least when you want to rebuild a "correct" watch. A very hard way to go. Good luck! Ilja |

Ilja, Thanks for the advice. Is there a reference source which identies and matches the serial # of the movement with compatabe case numbers? Still would like to do the ultimate fix. |

Hi Stan, JLC factory probably has such a list (if not destroyed) otherwise you have to step trough vintage catalogs and check what reference used this movement. Check http://www.mjlc.com there you find collectors support, perhaps they can help. But for sure you have to have patience until you recieve (if you ever get) an answer. Ilja |
