I'ts supposed to start at 12:00 and stop at 9:00.

Is that when it is wound, it goes clockwise from 12:00 to9:00. and when it runs, the hand runs anticlockwise until stops at 12:00 ? one more question: my futurematic is difficult to set, I have to slide the disc to the left, push it tight, and turn it inch by inch, and the hands run anti-clockwise. anything wrong?

* Yes, unwound = 12:00, wound = ~9:00 position.
* As far as setting, sounds like you have a lot of dirt under the button and the setting screw is loose.
