Hi. I found, and after a reasonable amount of time, no one has claimed to own one LeCoultre watch. It is a tad yellowed, has no markings on the outside of the back case. The crystal has a bad scratch.... :0( It was, after all, found face down in a parking lot. [If I can at one point over this holiday weekend, photograph and upload, will do]. It lacks a sweeping second hand. The hands and numerals are gold toned. The case is gold toned, and I can *barely* see '10Kt Gold Filled' on a curved edge. It indicates that it is a "wrist alarm" above the numeral 6. (I haven't worn it, but don't know how the alarm actually alarms/alerts... anyone?). There are two stems. (Is this an auto wind?) There is another silver toned disk on the face that is in the center with an arrow pointing to what I believe is the hour the alarm is set. The numbers that appear on the face are only the numerals 12 and the 6. The rest are pie wedged, triangles. It lacks a calendar/date function. It only has "LeCoutre" under the 12, and lacks the full merger logo of Jaeger-LeCoultre. I suspect it is a part of the Memovox line that was sold in the US, and in style appears to be a 50's sort of design. (a wild stab) Any info on this intriquing new find would be most appreciated. An approximate year and value -- I intend to clean it up a bit. The watch appears to have been well worn, possibly outfit it with a new crystal and an appropriate wrist band. Suggestions on what an appropriate band (as close to the original) would be absolutely lovely. Thank you, and Happy Easter. :0) p.s. Someone has gotta be missing this, as I believe it most likely was a cool, second-hand shop find or their father's/grandfather's hand-me-down. The band is a non-original, cheap Spiedel. Before I move forward with any sort of restoration, I will continue to keep an eye peeled to the Lost/Found section of the newspaper. |

Sounds like a US market gold filled "Wrist Alarm" that is the model. Hard to say without a photo, but value is $250-450 depending on conditon, it would be from the 1950s. |
