Zaf,
My father purchased this JLC watch (case # 864882) at a shop near the Chapel Bridge in Lucerne in October of 1962 .
The watch is nothing spectacular, no gold or jewels, but it belonged to my father and has sentimental value. I wanted to restore it to reasonable condition. Last week, I sent it off to New York for an overhaul. I have never seen the inside and I likely never will but I requested that they send me the numbers off of the movement when the case is opened.
I did some more research on the Internet and was somewhat surprised to find only one example with dagger hands and a black numberless dial. My watch is almost exactly like the one with a black dial pictured at http://www.klassikot.net/watches/ There is one exception. My watch does not have the lacquered metal JL logo (at the 12 o'clock) that was applied above the company name on others of that vintage. At first, I expected that it would be found rattling around the inside of the case but realized that there is space at the top of the dial and that it probably never had one. I must have looked at a thousand photos over the last few weeks and have not found any examples that match my watch. I wonder when the JL logo was adopted by JLC and if there is any significance for it not being used on this watch. Do you have any thoughts on that?

Hi, you have a totally correct (early) dial, actually kind of rare in black. Here is a silver dialed one:

Indeed, the logoless / numberless dial on the E855 is a pretty rare bird.
I happen to have one, which is also a black-dialed one.

When you say that your watch is "nothing spectacular, no gold or jewels", well, in my opinion it is really more spectacular than most gold/jewelled watches you could find from this period, being a very fine watch, but also a very rare one.

Here is my gold & black 'logoless'

Clavi,
Thanks for the photo. I was beginning to think I was nuts. Would you mind sharing the case and/or movement number?
