I recently purchased this NON WORKING Lecoultre clock with saphire colored hands. There is a number 440 on the back of the case. Can anyone tell me a little bit about it and if it is worth anything?

Its a nice alarm clock, most likely from the 1960s. They were pretty rare at clock and watch shows, until eBay came into the picture and it appears many more are around than collectors thought. It used to bring 300 or so at most at clock shows and now on eBay it would bring as little as $100 and as much as about $200 in non-working condition, depending on the case condition. I eventually plan on opening a clock shop, specializing iin lecoultres and buy this model for $100-$150 non-working. You can always e-mail me at [email protected] if interested in selling. If not, glad I could give you some value information.
