I am considering making a purchase of my second Jaeger LeCoultre. I am seeking information/input about the model number, and authenticity. I will attempt to attach 2 photos of the watch. Thank you.

The movement is definitely genuine. Do you have a shot of the dial side?

I do. There were a few things on the face that made me doubt its authenticity. Seems silly, but the roulette wheel has a couple of duplicates, and also missing a couple of numbers.

That's quite a frankenwatch you've shown. The dial is what many would call a "fantasy dial". It is a dial refinished with a wild design that has no resemblance to any factory dial design.

The case back markings also don't look correct to me and I also don't ever remember seeing a JLC case of this style with a gold front and stainless back.

I like that term. "Frankenwatch"

I have no idea if that is genuine but Cuervo y Sobrinos was a Cuban company that predated the communist regime. They produced some co-branded watches, like Tiffany, with high-end swiss movements. I have seen other purported Cuervo y Sobrinos with novelty type dials including erotic pictures and cuban company logs, that one purports to be a commemerative of the old sans souci in Havana.

I have seen authentic Cuervo y Sobrinos signed watches many times in the past, but lately unscrupulous sellers (primarily from South America, it seems) have been flooding the market with fake made-up vintage Cuervo y Sobrinos signed watches.

The reason this watch looked made-up to me was:

1) The dial looks too pristine to be a vintage original. No aging whatsoever.
2) If the watch were somehow all-original and pristine, the screws holding the movement in would also be original, but they aren't. The screws are mismatched, indicating that the movement was out of the watch (probably during the dial refinishing).
3) The steel case back doesn't appear correct for this gold case front (don't remember ever seeing this on a JLC thin dress model) and the case back appears signed wrong.

What is the top supposed to be made of? I agree with GregB in that the case back stamping doesn't really match the top or how a vintage JLC watch would normally be stamped.

All good points. I doubt an authentic would have gotten the roulette wheel wrong. I suppose they are easy targets for frankenwatches since cuervos y sobrinos outsourced the movements, I bet the seller is in Argentina.
