If anyone can help I'd appreciate it. I have my grandfather's LeCoultre and the serial number on the movement is 603902. The back of the case indicates it's 14K. I think it's probably from the 40's, but I'd love to find out. Still keeps perfect time. |

Looking that movement number up in Zaf's book gives a date of 1948. However the movement didn't necessarily get used the year it was made, so the watch could be a little younger. I hope that helps and if I'm wrong I'm sure I'll be corrected. |

Assistance is greatly appreciated I have inherited a watch from my great uncle. He was a doctor in NYC , came from Cuba, and its estimated he bought the watch in the late 1940's maybe early 50's. Says "Jaeger Lecoultre" on it, still works, has even a little alarm on it, that makes a noise. The band itself is a thick, heavy, 18K gold and so is the casing around the watch's face. What information can you give me on this watch? I do want to sell it, but with knowledge and information first. thanks |
