Yes, the bezel is correct, but the dial appears refinished. |

Thanks Gregb. I was not sure about the dial, refinished or not. However I must tell that I took this pic in size 1600 x 1200 pixel, so every detail is much, much clearer as at normal sight. The inside back and the movement is looking great, as if never used.I had my watchmaker open it. Something bothers me as well. At the innerside of the case is Le Coultre Co stamped. As I learned from the several postings here, Le Coultre was only available in the USA. How come that movement and dial are signed Jaeger leCoultre and innerside of the case: Le Coultre Co.? Any idea of the production year ? Thanks again |

I can also confirm that the watch is correct with this bezel. With regards to the dial, I would say that the inner dial is indeed refinished, but I think that the main (outer) dial is in its original condition. |

Mayin, These fluted gold bezel Memovoxes came out in the late-1960s. I don't remember seeing them in an automatic version. All the ones I've seen have been cal 911 manual wind versions with case reference 2904. I've seen 2-tone SS w/ 14K yellow gold bezel (most common) and solid 14K yellow gold case & bezel. All were signed "LeCoultre" on the dial (U.S. models) that I've had. Below is an example of a 2 tone model:
I would agree with Clavi that the inner dial is definitely refinished (and not very well). Perhaps Zaf or others could comment on whether the outer dial is incorrect. It does not look to be refinished, but may have been replaced at some point in time with an incorrect dial. In my experience, if the original owner/seller needed to refinish the inner dial, the outer dial also probably needed restoration too. The fact that the outer dial is pristine probably is a very good clue that it is not original to the watch. |

I bought this one at the same time. The pair was offered as NOS
Both watches are in as new condition. According your experience, you do think that the innerdial from this geo also has been replaced ? How could I find out? Could JLC give this information? |
