This watch belonged to my godfather (he probably
bought
it in New York or Switzerland many many years ago, and it's in
perfect operational condition. I had it serviced in
Guatemala City, where I am from, in FS Richard - Ars
Noble S.A.
(http://www.fsrichard.com) that is the exclusive
dealer for the Jaeger LeCoultre as well as for Rolex,
Patek Philippe and several other brands. And didn't picked it up for a few years. I live in Atlanta, GA in the U.S. The number on the back is 599276.
I may want to sell it, but do not know how much it may be a fair cost. Or maybe you can tell me?
Thanks,

Vinicio

In perfect shape this watch is worth about $800. As it is, if the dial needs to be repainted or the watch needs to be serviced deduct about $300.

If you give the movement serial number I can give you the exact year of when the movement was made.

Hey Zaf,
Sorry I didn't answer before. I didn't know I have a message until just now. I don't even know how to open this thing. I don't want to cause any damage.
Do I need a special tool? If not, how should I do it?
Thanks.

A simple sharp pocket knife will do, pry it open on his side opposite of the crowns. Hoever, the movement is sometimes trickey to get out. You have to gently pry it out (without lifting the dial or stressing the winding stems), may be best to let someone show you how to do it, if it is your first time.
