still a couple of references missing, but the collection is growing! I guess the one I just added is at the very beginning end of the chronology of the family. It is the so-called "hooded lugs" (similar to the one you have for sale now but in steel and without applied indexes). My understanding is that it is the very first model of memovox, the same as introduced in 1951 in Basel. My question for you Zaf is: Movement number is 669XXX. Can you date this one and have you seen earlier numbers for this type of watch? When / for how long have they been produced in the hooded lugs case? (any ideas on total number produced in this style?) Of course your book will answer most of my questions, but I just can't wait! Clavi | ||

The case reference is 3150. The total production is not known. Though the watch was "introduced" in 1951 it went on sale at least a year earlier maybe 2. I'll be in Paris in March. Will you be there? | ||
