Hello, I got this vintage Le Coultre Memovox for christmas. Can anyone give info if it is genuine JLC (Le Coultre name is curved on the dial, and I read something about the fact that Le Coultre is never curved...) and from when it dates? . It has plexiglass and the case seems to be some zamac or other moulded metal, goldcolor coated but probably no gold. back plate says "star watch company case" Kaliber should be K814, the serial number 1510441 it works perfectly, also the alarm function. thanks, a newbie in vintage watches |

Yes, your Memovox is perfectly authentic. The dial has simply been repainted at some point in time by a refinisher who did not have the correct dies for this watch. The case has a 10 karat gold-filled top (a layer of 10K gold over a brass core) |

nice to read! thanks for this quick response. it's my first vintage watch, (I only had a modern day IWC) and the sheer looking for info is for sure half the fun it provides! |
