Hello,

Could anyone help me to decide, if the dial on this watch is original or repainted?

Thank you,
Zsolt

wrong.

It is a US market watch ( LeCoultre) painted with Jaeger LeCoultre logo.

(hint: "made in switzerland" )

Thanks for your answer!

I understand that this dial/movement combination is wrong....but does the dial itself look original, or is it repainted?

The dial is repainted, for this model, if it were to be a Euro watch, it would say "Jaeger" not "Jaeger-LeCoultre".

I think he's asking if this might be an original (non-repainted) Euro-market dial incorrectly paired with a US-market watch. I don't have the expertise with the chronos to tell.

Yes, that was my question...

But I believe they both suggested that the dial is repainted, as it should be "LeColtre" or "Jaeger" on a chrongraph.

Although in Zaf's book he says "a few JLC-signed chronos have been observed, but they are relatively rare".

All the JLC signed chronos I have seen are 2 REGISTER snap back, at they all had the same case type. This model is the same as the one that's in the book as a "LeCoultre" with the cross hatch crown (maybe an E355 or E335 I don't remember). It would be a "Jaeger" for the Euro market, so I believe the dial is redone.
