Any ideas about the vintage of this watch? It is hallmarked 14K on the reverse of the case and on the bracelet. The crown bears the Jaeger LeCoultre logo and the face is signed, unusually at the bottom. There is no model number and I daren't open the case...Any ideas/help and also idea of value appreciated! |

I haven't seen this model before. Looks like maybe a 1960s piece though I'd really need to get a movement serial number to be sure. |

Should I take it to a watchmaker to get him to remove the back so that the movement number can be checked? We have a very reputable one close by. I really want to find out about this watch! |

If you want to date it, yes. |

I do want to make absolutely sure that it is an authentic LeCoultre (not that I have any reason to believe otherwise) but I guess being able to date it will help with that as well as getting some idea of what it is worth. It is in beautiful condition. I really do appreciate your help. |

Dear Zaf, I have just come back from the watchmaker who removed the back of the watch for me and he confirmed the following: It is an authentic LeCoultre watch, triple signed as the movement and back of case are signed as well as the dial. The movement is a LeCoultre movement and in very good condition. The entire watch is 14k solid gold and he agrees it probably dates from 1960's early 70's. He has expertise in vintage watches and had never seen this model before. He said it was a beautiful watch and I should take good care of it. The case has the following numbers on the inside: 0871142502 I didn't ask about value so if you have any idea that would be really helpful. Also,if you have any further info in light of the above number? I did try and take a picture while the case was off but my camera just kept blurring when I got up close. Again, I am so grateful for your input. Thanks so much in advance, Caroline |

I need the MOVEMENT serial number to accurately date it, but circa 1970 is a good guess. Value of the JLC ladies pieces - in most cases - right now are scrap + $100-200. So probably something around $400 or so. |

Looks like vintage ladies JLC watches are a good investment to buy now then! |
