HI I have this watch and know nothing about them except the little I've found on the net. The marks... Back outside: 335147 Back inside: woman in shield shape Key w/#3 L(pine tree)C within a square rectangle w/backwards C 750 inside as well as 3 various letter/number hand engraved marks. Inside: on movement: SWISS Jaeger-LeCoultre 417987 near one side (not sure it's a 1, seems to have a little mark on top of it. Any help you can give me will be appreciated very much, meanings of marks, is it gold? Pink gold? meanings of engraved markings and of course value. You can see I have not cleaned it in any way. It was a donation to our charity and I offered to check it out. Also, I tried to take some good pics but forgot to take a side profile. It seems to me the crystal may sit a little high and it is in pretty good shape. Possibly replaced? Gee, it it even authentic? I am fascinated by this watch and wish it were mine . I collect old jewelry so this is fun. Please fill me in on any facts you can. Especially value. btw..I can find no 3 digit #s you often refer to. I can send more pics if you like. Thanks so much! Linda

not an expert but here are some answers: Back outside: 335147= case number. "A" = JLC's notation for solid 18k gold. (looks pink to me but can't be sure). Back inside: woman in shield shape= goddess Minerva, a Swiss gold hallmark Key w/#3= watchmaker L(pine tree)C within a square= insignia for Lecoultre, the case-maker rectangle w/backwards C 750 inside= 18k (0.75 of 24k) as well as 3 various letter/number hand engraved marks. Inside: on movement: SWISS Jaeger-LeCoultre= signed movement- this is a triple-signed watch (dial, case, movement) 417987 near one side (not sure it's a 1, seems to have a little mark on top of it. = movement number hope that's helpful. the dial isn't great but i bet you'd get high 3-figures, low 4-figures for it on eBay. |
