I have also made a post in the Appraisal section, but posted here to maybe get some more feedback on this watch.

I have done a little research on this watch and found out that it may be from 1946/47 and they believed the watch is one of the first automatic's LeCoultre produced. The back is steel. About 34mm watch. Any information would be great.

I do not know where to find the serial/reference number on the watch.

Inside back case has ACER INOXIABLE LECOULTRE CO SWISS

I'm not sure if I am looking in the right place, I do not know too much about the watch. I have a good close up picture of the inside of the watch, under LeCoultre there is 12A boxed in. Not sure what that means.

No it would be a six digit affair somewhere on the movement. I think you have caliber 476 (i.e. the name of the movement).

I am having trouble locating this. When I find the movement will this tell more about the year? Does this watch have much value?

Ok. It seems you have a caliber 12A, which is the predecessor to the 476. An the 47-48 seems reasonable for the year. Value circa $500.

This is the movement:

That is exactly what the inside of mine looks like. I'm not a big watch collector and may sell to someone who is. I gather $500 is a good asking price, these watches increase in value pretty fast?
