Hi, I just bought a watch on ebay (listing is closed; hope I can post the link -- I can't copy the photos from the listing). http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120468999586&ssPageName=STRK: MEWAX:IT 14kt gold engraved case Ladies Movement is marked 649716 490/BW I love this watch, but want to know more about it: 1. Approximate age? 2. Is the crown is original? 3. Is the movement good quality? Thank you! |

1. Early 1950s. 2. I don't know, maybe. 3. Yes, anything LeCoultre is at least decent movement wise. |

Thank you -- I appreciate your answers. This watch will ship out to me next week. I may have some more questions (and photos) then. This was my first vintage watch purchase (ebay can be risky), and I was a little nervous. If it's not what the seller claims it to be, I can send it back, but I think I got a great watch for a great price. |

Well, in the worst case we can fix it for you. I have a lot of experience in vintage LeCoultre repair. |

Thanks, I'm happy to hear you also do repair -- I'm not sure I could find anyone locally I'd trust to do the job, should it need repair. By the way, this seller maintains that the movement "has never been worked on." How would he know that? The appearance of the screws? Thanks again! |
