I have recently inhereted a Jaeger-LeCoultre clock from my grandmother. Haveing spent the better part of 6 hours researching the net for information, I have learned enough (I hope) to be able to ask the right questions from a knowledgeable source. I have in my possession what I think is called a "baguette" clock of 70's vintage. I'm judging the age of the clock by its style and its oral history. The only identifying mark is the "Jague-LeCoultre" logo printed on the lower right hand corner of the square clock. It has linear clockwork which is, I understand, indicative of the baguette style. It is roughly 5'' X 7'' with what appears to be a stainless steel frame. The time indicators (1-12 o'clock) are of similar metal screwed into the rear glass pane. The only mark on the clock is a stamped 555 located on what I would call the left foot. Please help me find some information about this interesting piece of my collection. I can send a picture to a knowledgeable individual if it would be of help. Thanks. |
