Hello all,
This is my first post here as I have been given asked by my father to find out a bit about his watch here.
All we know is it came to our family via an American Soldier who used it to pay a debt during world war 2. the face is tainted and green in patches, and the original strap has gone after wearing out and has been replaced by this Omega. The face is off white, but I'm not sure if that is age related or not, the numerals and minute and hour hands are gold, the second hand underneath is black. The case appears to be steel. I haven't opened the back my self but my dad tells me it is a jeweled movement inside.

The number on the back case is 492942
Any advice on it is very much appreciated.

Many thanks,
Andrew

Hi,
Good point!
My main interest would be how valuable is it?
Would it be worth paying to have the watch restored, specifically the damamge to the face.
Thanks for the reply.
Andrew

Restored, it would be worth $400-500.
