Dear Zaf, I purchased a LeCoultre alarm from you in 1996 with an inner disk divided into hours and half hours (see picture of dial). It has the same inner disk as the one shown on the bottom of page 109 of your book, and Ive seen the same disk on an LC alarm in a German auction catalogue and in a post on the discussion board. It appears to function like an elapsed timer, if you point the number of hours or half hours you want to elapse before the alarm sounds at the hour hand. And you can also use the Memovox alarm pointer the same way it is used on any Memovox alarm. What I want to know is whether this is an original LeCoultre dial design or an after market one? Or to put the question another way, is the dial shown in your book an original dial? By the way, your book is a wonderful resource! Thanks in advance for your answer. Charlie |

Hi. The dial on the watch in the book (as is yours) is definitely an original inner disk. I've on seen these only on USA models, so it's probably something that never was used in Europe, were the Memovox parking inner disk was more commonly seen. |

Here's an identical original inner disk that I found on a Ford commemorative Memovox I sold a while back:
