Hello,
I am thinking about buying an other Memovox watch, but I am not sure about the dial's and case back's condition.
Normally on these models there is a HPG sign on the central dial, is it possible that it was not used on all of them? Or is it maybe re-painted?
And there is no serial number on the back just the 14k gold mark (unfortunately no photo of the other side).

Thank you,
Zsolt

I think that inner disk would be very difficult to re-paint, so I'm pretty sure it's original.

The lack of serial #s, on a US watch, on the back is not unusual either. The watch looks OK to me.

Thank you for the answer.
Do you also know what is the reference number of this model?
On the back of the case it's printed: "CASE 3089-916", is that it?
I haven't found much info about this model on this forum or elswhere on the internet, I guess it's not a very popular model among collectors, or is it?

Br,
Zsolt

The case reference number would appear to be 3089 with a 916 movement.

Could you maybe recommend someone in the USA who might have a new or replacement plexi/crystal for this watch?

Thanks,
Zsolt

Crystals for this model are not available. If it is just scratched it can be polished however.

Dear Zaf,

I have an other question, the "HPG" sign is missing from the dial of this watch.

It was originally fixed on the center rotating dial, the 2 small fixing holes can bee seen on the attached photo.

Do you have any idea who could maybe restore/replace it somehow?

Thanks,
Zsolt

I do not sorry, you'll need a donor disk to get the part off it.
