Has anybody ever seen such a black Futurematic dial? Can it be an original?

Hi Zaf, I've been collecting numerous pics of Futurematics with black dials but never saw one with Arabic numerals. This makes me suspicious. In my opinion this special combination of Arabic numerals and rectangular/square applied gold markers only belong to the white dial-style below:

Here is a black dial with Arabics: http://www.watch-prices.com/graphics/mpta3275.jpg The dial you show can not be the same dial as the black dial you show, as the registers are smaller. So, black dials with Arabics do exist. It just seems that the one you are showing is refinished though. |

I have one just like that I would like to restore but need a movement etc. So far I cannot find someone in the Toronto area capable of repairing it for a feasable price. If anyone can recommend where to look for such a repair in the Toronto area please let me know. |

Look up Shane Ede. He's in Toronto, otherwise I can fix it in the USA. |

On second thought thanks very very much Zaf ! I just picked up my repaired watch from Shane and I could not be happier, he was a great guy to deal with and a lot of fun to talk with, notwithstanding the lengths to which he went to repair the watch and the expertise he has. Incredible, others said it was non repairable, thanks again! |

Hi there... great news. If you talk to him again, tell him to send my hands! |
