One of the franken watches with Russian case my friend found in Europe, for me the movement looks like cal.839 but I am not sure. any ideas... thx for your help

I don't see an cal 839 in the bestfit manual or my parts manuals (though these probably stop at about 1975). Maybe it was made after that?

18 jewels and dual shock protection should be rather late, guess 70s is correct - if it is legit...

I have no doubts the movement is real. It's pretty nicely made and adjusted to 5 positions.

Thank you for help :-) he is going to try to get the custom made white gold case for it and I ll ask him to check the markings under the balance bridge, I was thinking that thats one of the first version of ultra - thin movement.
