I think Paul would be happy to edit, if you email him directly. I think his contact info is on the web site. |

Hi , about dials' variants of these Mark 11 ; the one identified in the site as 3rd generation RAAF or "flat 3" (I attach a pic bottom from the site) : was this pattern a JLC factory dial or a MoD reprint ?

Hi Claudio - The flat 3 variant is a JLC product. I know for sure since I got one spare dial from them. |

Sorry for the 'double track' threading Thank you Ilja, that yellow / brownish index must be beautiful when in NOS condition ! |

The real question now arises, Ilja seems to think these later generation dials are JLC printed rather than MoD printed. Thoughts? He's basing his conclustion on the NOS dial he got from them, but you have to admit, the print quality is worse than the "white 12" version...did the factory print that poorly (by thier standards)? On the other hand, MoD dials are usually *much worse* than these second generation dials, like the Omega RAF from 1953. |

Sorry Ojj. Send me where your watch currently resides and I'll be happy to update. To me its clear the Flat 3s came from JLC. They must have just suffered a quality lapse in my opinion. |

Thanks Paul, I'm actually debatting this issue with Zaf for ages. We had double proof as far I collect my memory: 1) NOS dials out of LeSentier 2) A bunch of old dials from downunder which had pencil marks with date. Back when we digged this the issue was crystal clear, at least for you and me. |

Maybe the MoD specified "crappy print" in the spec. lol. |
