Hi Guys,

Forgive my ignorance - I've been a long time admirer of the Futrematic in its various forms - Finally I have acquired one - Horn lugged, black dial variety - My question is very basic, I'd like to open it up and take a look at the movement - Is this just a question of opening like any other snap back? Or is there more to it? Viz the backwind.

It opens just like any snap back and the movement will drop out. There is a small slot where you can see a dial screw, you can lift with a small screwdriver there if the movement doesn't drop out. This is the easy part.

The harder part is getting the movement back in, without damaging the stop lever (a fragile part that stops the watch when you have the crown in the set position). It MUST line up with the back setting screw when you put the movement back in.
