Hi everyone ... I think you guys're maybe the only ones that can help / advise me ...

First off I've realised this's a watch Forum ... I am asking a question 'bout a clock so if Iam way outta line ... Mods feel free to delete this post.

I've tried pretty much everywhere else to get some info but always hitta brick wall.

The best I can tell you is my Mum bought it for my Dads' birthday 'round 1939 from a jewellers in our local town ... that shut maybe 30 years ago.

This's where it gets interesting ... the clock's inside a stirrup with a faint hand-etched engraving with a serial number on the bottom ...

The face's red leather with shire-shoe style nails to indicate the time.

I know the movement's Jaeger LeCoultre yet it's got "made in France" on the bottom of the leather ... anyone help ??

It would not be uncommon to have Jaeger-LeCoultre movements, cased into French made cases. So it sounds like this is what you have.
