Chaps, did Jaeger ever produce a chronograph style watch in the 1950's, i.e. one with a stopwatch function? I've been searching for ages but not found anything. I have found a dial on eBay and would post the picture but don't know how! Thanks for your help. Rich...

there are nice LeCoultre and Jaeger chronos from the 40-50s, often re-branded Universals

Thanks, that's interesting, I would have sworn that dial was older, ah well! So it would be a Universal then? Basically I am looking for a classic watch from the year I was born in 1956.

Hi Zaf, thanks for that and if either of those had English day/dates instead of Spanish or French I would be tempted. That said, they are day/date/moonphase watches and no one has answered my question about 1950's chronographs. Did JLC make these, or do I need to buy your book? Cheers, Rich...

I have a JAEGER chrono for sale, that's actually in the book. There are no dates on any of the early JLC chronos.
