hello to all - i have a LeCoultre Polaris, which only needs the upper and lower crowns to complete - i have been unsuccessful in finding the correct ( or any workable) crowns/stems, preferably the original cross-hatched

if anyone knows of a source for them, or other viable suggestions, I would appreciate hearing from you!

These are hard to source. However, the "compressor" patented case, which the Polaris uses was also used by several manufacturers including Universal Geneve, Hamiltion, Wittnauer & Longines. They also has cross hatch crowns. So, if a parts suppplier doesn't list original crowns for a Polaris, the may have crowns for one of the other compressor watches.

Sorry, I don't have one in stock...if you are in the U.S. the Hamilton divers watch with inner rotating bezel used the same crowns.

Correct, I do have one of these Hamiltons.
The Enicar Sherpa Super Dive as well has these crowns (although it would be a pitty to buy a Sherpa SD to take its crowns).
The easiest to find might be the LIP NauticSki (an electric watch, which therefore can often be found in "broken" condition for less than 150$)

Great! I didn't know about the LIP. Since we're giving out free Polaris information today, here is one: the gear used to turn the inner rotating bezel of the Polaris is the same as the "Wittnauer 2000" calendar watch.

Most of the "double crown inner rotating bezel" watches produced had cased made by Piquerez SA (inventor of the compressor system and the famous diver helmet logo).
This included the JLC Polaris and Deep Sea MM, Vulcain Cricket nautical, IWC Aquatimer, Enicar Sherpas, Longines (model?), Hamilton, Droz, and several other lesser known brands.
Not all of them were fitted with the Polaris-like hatched crowns, however most were, so there are several potential sources for spares

see the typical Piquerez brevet marking on the inside of the lip nautic ski
