A few days ago I bought this watch, identified as Jaeger LeCoultre. The case is 26mm by 22.5mm and the bracelet (hallmarked 0925) is at least 7 1/2 inches. The numbers on the back of the case are 1217082 and 16161. I didn't pay a lot for it, but I can't wear it as the bracelet is far too heavy for my wrist, so I'll probably want to sell it. Any idea of a fair value?Watch.jpg

Sorry, I'm an idiot. I forgot to mention that it's a manual.

What do youy think the case/bracelet is made of, 0.925 silver?

Silver is my best guess and also the seller's, but it does seem awfully heavy for silver unless that's just because the links are so thick. Is any other metal marked 0925?

Yes 0.925 is silver, but I'm not expecting Jaeger-LeCoultre made silver cases. What is written on the back of the case? Numbers, etc. Have you had it open?

I haven't opened it myself and the local vintage-watch expert has retired, so I'm not sure whom I can ask about it. The only thing on the back of the case is the two numbers:
1217082
16161

I'm attaching a photo of the back. Hope it helps.watchback.jpg

Well, those look like JLC serial#s to me! So it's probably legit. Looks like 1970s watch. Hard to say what the value is, perhaps $300-400?

What is the hallmark below the "16161"?

The hallmark looks like a blob to me and I can't find my hand lens, so I'll have to let you know a little later. Thanks for all your time and the helpful information.
