except you don't have it ! If you do, then consider the deal done... with me ! Seriously, a perpetual calendar minute repeater chronograph isn't something you come across everyday. I agree our famous seller exagerates hugely on 'asked prices', but in that case I would say this outstanding watch is worth at least about half what he asks for (similar watches with no famous brand name like this one have sold for >20k� at auction houses in the past 2 years). There is approximately the same watch for sale attomorrow's auction (lot 663), with an estimate of 60,000-75,000$, so on monday we will know what these things sell for these (difficult) days | ||

Lot 663: finally it didn't sell. I followed the bidding live, and there were active bidders until 55000 CHF / 37000� /47000$ (without buyer premium, so that is 66000CHF / 44000� / 56000$ including premium ), but it was below reserve so the lot was passed. So, some people were willing to spend serious money on that watch, though not enough from the point of view of the seller / the expert apparently. |
