I noticed this "JL" on ebay by one of our old friends: http://cgi.ebay.com/JAEGER-LECOULTRE-MEMOVOX-WORLDTIMER-AUTOMATIC-VON-1965_W0QQi temZ360097657439QQcmdZViewItemQQptZDE_Kleidung_Schmuck_Accessoires_Uhren_Armband uhren?hash=item360097657439&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1326%7C66%3A2%7C 65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318 I cannot find anything in the catalogues for that year that confirm such a watch. The watch is real, the dial is fantasy. |

I would say watch and 'outer dial' are real, inner (worldtime) dial is fantasy. I have seen enough exaples of this "lapiz style" dials over the years to believe they are genuine. I have just checked my archieve and found several occurences of this dial on watches which looked good.

Something does not add up at all with this watch. The case serial # is in the 9 Million range?? Signed "Jaeger-LeCoultre"? On a 1.9M movement? Lapis dial & worldtime? It's a total Franken at best and might even be a fake case! |
