Hi, I have an Offer to buy a Memovox RVEIL, obviously they stopped building it some years ago. It was sort of a relaunch of the old memovoxed, priced at about 4000 EUR (5000 USD) new. Any clue if I should pay about 6000 USD today for it? It seems to be rare as I can only find one to be sold in the www. Thanks, M |

That sounds like too much, MORE THAN NEW, but I specialize in older models, so if anyone knows for sure, please answer... |

Berliner, the name you mentioned sort of covers two models: 1) Master Memovox, and 2) Master Reveil IIRC, Master Reveil was made from 1995 to 2004/5 while Master Memovox had a shorter production cycle sandwiched into the Reveil period (1998-2003??). Master Memovox is manual wind, has no date, and is slightly smaller (37mm). Master Reveil is an automatic watch with date, and is bigger at 38,5mm. Although the production period for Master Memovox was shorter, it is the Master Reveil that is more desirable and being most sought after between these two models. Is the watch you are looking at comes with metal bracelet or leather strap? The bracelet will add about 400 Euro on the used market. When Master Reveil (in stainless steel on leather strap with OEM deployant clasp) was discontinued in 2004, you could buy a new one with discount for about 4.500 Euro. Master Memovox is about 1.000 Euro cheaper. It is very difficult to give you advise on prices. Used JLC always fetch more money in the European market. I am more familiar with prices in the US. However it is tricky to convert it back to Euro. Just within the last two months Euro had dropped 15%. Your 4.000 Euro = 5.000 USD is dated at around 2002's exchange rate. Hope this has helped some what. |
