I purchased this watch a few weeks ago at a local auction house. I knew verly little about the watch but it was so unique I had to buy it. The rear of the case is marked 581174 P, Memovox; inside it is marked LeCoultre Co, Swiss,Plaque or L 80 Microns, Wadsworth; Movement is marked LeCoultre Co, Seventeen 17 Jewels, 814, Swiss, Unadjusted, 105662; Outer Dial says LeCoultre with symbol above and Swiss; and the inner dial has the P, arrow, 2h, 60, and 30. The watch has some damage inside each lug from a metal band but the case is in otherwise good shape. The dial is showing some age but is not bad. The watch appears to have been worn regularly and is running and keeps good time. I can only set the time by moving the hands counter clockwise - is the normal? Also the alarm goes off a bit early. I paid $140.00 for this watch, a gold Timex, and a stainless round case Lord Elgin. (box lot). Does the parking dial affect the value? What is a fair value (E-Bay prices seem to be all over the place? I searched the net and found little helpful information until I found this forum and some Youtube video clips. Thanks, Grady

Yes, the movement is worth more!

You have case reference 3155. The "Plaque Or" variant is typically used for European watches, but I have seen it in American watches as well.

- The hands should set in both directions.
- The alarm going off early is an easy fix, just move the hands.

Hard to tell what condition the dial is in, but it's worth $300 (or more) on something like eBay, in the condition it's in.

Zaf & Ojj, Thanks for the response. This is a great watch and you get a real intresting look from people when the alarm goes off. The reason I can't set the time in the reverse direction is the crown comes unscrewed. Is there a simple fix without damage or losing the crown. From what I have read in the forum, crowns are not something to be lost. The crystal is not scratched bad but has many cracks that can be seen in the sides. This watch has not been serviced or oiled in a long time and I do not want to damage it from ordinary wear. I have several Omegas and exept for a F300, parts and repairs are not an issue. Since repair at the LeCoultre factory is not an option, do you have a contat list for watchmakers who know these watches well and would have the experience and parts available.

Thanks

Grady
